“The difference between your dreams and reality is called action.”
There‘s a saying that what seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise. I believe that is true. Going the distance when life throws punches or makes us hit rock bottom is not easy, in fact staying down may seem like the only option but rising will only make us stronger.
I’d like you to watch a video of one of my favorite fictional characters of all time, Rocky. This message is meant to inspire and light a fuse of internal fire.
“Go out and get what your worth”, inspiring words but true. And it‘s easier said than done huh? Self-Worth is something that you should aspire to have, many people have gone through so many ups and downs where their self-worth takes a hit. I can personally say that my self-worth has been impacted throughout my life and I am choosing to fight everyday to strive to be great knowing I may still get knocked down.
I don’t have any perfect answers for how people can rise from trauma or beat the odds or get up when knocked down. For me, it has been beyond helpful and impactful putting strong focus on my core roots and foundations. I choose to surround myself with good people and healthy outlets including family, friendships, and my faith in God.
Strive to go the distance in whatever adversity you may be facing in your life. There is a light at the end of the tunnel in whatever darkness that may be looming your life. Know you‘re not alone. Reaffirm your roots and foundations. Find and grow your support network. Improve and strengthen your self-worth.
When you feel like giving up, remember, no one said life was easy and it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, the world can be a very mean and nasty place, you will feel beaten, you will fall, you will want to quit—Close your eyes, find your footing and rise to take on whatever the world brings you. New beginnings, new chapters are waiting to be written but it’s up to you on how your story moves forward!
