"There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world: those who are afraid to try and those who are afraid you will succeed."
Success is not always what you see or perceive it to be, sometimes the best success can be at the hands of either your failure or at the hands of others failing you. The most successful people often fail the most.
In the business world, success is often measured by job performance, while in our personal lives success is often measured or perceived by how big our house is or how many cars we own. I believe we define our own successes and create our own destiny’s. What happens when success hits a roadblock?
Lifes curveballs are inevitable, things happen when we least expect it. It could be a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or financial hardships like loss of a job.
“It’s how life works, the everflow of it’s ups and downs. Trials and tribulations.”
To echo words of wisdom from one of my favorite fictional characters...
”Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. ~Rocky Balboa
True words from an American Pop-Icon. At the end of the day, all any of us can do is keep moving forward. We all will get knocked down in life, it’s what we do when we get up, that matters.
In those moments of when we are trying desperately to get up, it’s important to remember who we are, what we’ve been through, where we want to get too and what matters most to us. You gotta have something to fight for, something that drives you and something that motivates you to be the best you both personally and professionally.
So the next time when your faced with an curveball or you feel the world is against you, get up off the mat, gather yourself and step back into the ring! Find the eye of the tiger in YOU.
