“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure, it is our light not our darkness that most frighens us.”

Life can be hard, it can be unfair, it can be painfu, it can be grueling and tiresome. Life can also be easier, it can be a blessing, it can be manageable, it can be amazing and beautiful. There’s no doubt that life is a marathon, not a sprint.

Our Mindset Plays a Huge Role

Wake up, eat, work, eat, sleep. Repeat. Routines are part of everyday life, routines can both be good and bad. When we find that we’re living the same routine day-in-day-out that’s where life can feel mundane or that we’re coasting through and existing. I’d recommend to shake things up, each week try to do one or two things different to avoid the mundane routine rut, maybe plan a random night out mid-week (social activities are very healthy) or do something different during your day to make it unique and worthwhile.

For me, to help with the routine ruts, in the last month I’ve been journaling each week which has allowed me to focus on different aspects of my life. I’ve also shaken up my exercise routines, one week I may do more heavier training and the next week more lighter. I’ve been putting more effort to have better balance in time for myself and time with family and friends. Sometimes I’ll have random movie nights or I’ll reach out to a friend I’ve lost touch with over the years or i’ll go for a walk or late night drive to think.

Relfect on Where You Want to Be and How You Plan to Get There

Taking time to reflect on where you’re at in your life and where you want to be is important. Reflecting may not give you all the answers immediately but in time you’ll find the answers have always been there, it’s just taking the time to sift through everything. Once you pin point where you want to be whether it’s personal life or professional, come up with a plan and work at it hard each day and understand that you will fail at times along the way.

Heres a short motivational and inspiring video that has some great words and powerful imagery that showcases how to keep moving forward and #striveforgreatness!
