We all have our own story to tell, each day a new entry is written and new chapters continue to evolve over time. This time of year we tend to be thankful for what we have, count our blessings and spend it with our loved ones. The holidays are great times to reflect, catch up with others lives and let them know how your doing. So as your pages are being written with constant changes and happenings, it’s important to remember that so are everyone else’s.
So Where Am I Going With This?
Before our best story can be written, we have to be the best within ourselves first and foremost. Then a beautiful thing can happen, we start to impact those around us in positive ways and make differences in the lives we touch.
One day you'll change someone's life or enrich other peoples lives because you'll be the best thing to ever happen to them.
“When we our at our best then we can be our best for others and so on and so fourth. Constantly impacting the lives we touch and world around us.”
For me this Thanksgiving marks a very meaningful one to me because of some of what I endured this last year, hence “my story”. I have a greater appreciation and so much to be thankful for including my family, friends and others who rallied behind me even when I was caught in my own darkness and needed that light shed on my soul. With greater clarity became a passion to pay it forward.
I've learned a lot from my experiences in striving to be the best “me”. I believe that personal and professional growth transformation will not only benefit our well-being but others we touch one day. Possibly even lead to finding your soulmate.
One day you will be the person who will help someone or others believe again. One day you will be that person who will shed light for someone going through a dark time or unmask something their hiding. One day you will be the reason why people smile and have an extra pep in their step. One day you will be the reason to help someone see their worth. One day you will be the person who will give someone the life they deserve because of the love you have for one another and yourself.
“As we express our gratitude we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live them.”
Thanksgiving...A time of year to give thanks for our many blessings and spend it with the ones we love. Let's rewind for a moment, how many of us take the time to think about all the things we've experienced in the last year. In doing that, each of us most likely triggered certain types of memories or emotions. Maybe you got that job you've been searching for or hit a professional high in your career. Maybe you celebrated a relationship anniversary or found new love or are still searching. Maybe you completed items on your bucket list or started to think about the things you want to do one-day. Maybe you experienced loss or something tragic happened. Maybe you found yourself struggling internally or feel like you're not reaching your true potential. Each of us brings to the table our own storied year or past.
Let's flash forward to the present, as we gather by our loved ones if you're fortunate to do so and enjoy a tasty Thanksgiving meal, it's important to take the extra moments to have true meaningful conversations and express how you feel to your family and friends, because some of us may not have that luxury of having a Thanksgiving meal, a family, or a place to call home. Plus, you may learn something about a loved one that you didn't know before, sometimes in life we get caught up with the idea of the holiday and not experiencing the meaning of the holiday.
